Saint George

Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom there was a fearsome and hungry dragon that fed on the sheeps herd.
When the sheeps became scarce, was took the decision to give to the dragon a person each week.
Once the princess of the kingdom was chosen to be fed to the dragon.
When de princess came to the cave where the monster was, came as a surprise a brave knight, Saint George, and faced with the dragon to kill him, but such was his strength that was the dragon who kill himself  then devour, and then also killed the princess, who was alone and defenseless.

A white rose sprang of the blood of the princess and a red rose of the blood of Saint George, and the two roses were joined.
Dragon ready to find more people to eat, inadvertently stepped on a roses digging a thorn
and transformed into a stone.

Centuries passed and the flowers were covering the stone dragon statue, which was completely wrapped by red and white roses.
The villagers and their descendants were going each 23 April to visit the statue, to thank a Saint Jorge and the princess that the monster does not attack theyselves again.

The Bridges of Madison County

The Bridges of Madison County is a 1995 American romantic drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and starring by Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep.

The film is set in 1965. The plot tells the story of Francesca (Meryl Streep), a lonely housewife at home Lowa Italian resident, married to an American soldier and mother of two. While her husband and children are out in the Illinois State Fair, she meets a photographer, Robert Kincaid (Clint Eastwood), who has come to Madison County (Lowa) for a photographic series about covered bridges Near to National Geographic, and falls for him.
The four days spent together account for a fundamental shift in her life by the loving relationship with him.

I love this movie because I like the story and the plot below, and by the actors who star.
The ending is sad, I must say, but that is the grace of the movie.
I never tire of it and I always put myself in the place of the protagonists.

Love letter

                                                                                                                                      February, 1916

Ma chérie,

I hope everything goes well in London and that you have received all my letters.
I received your package; ¡woolen scarf and leather gloves saved me of the german cold! And the photo ... you looked beautiful with the turquoise dress, and I remembered the day that we went to walk to Hampstead Heath, before the war.
But I write because I have to give you a good new.
My division has finished his work in Chemnitz, and allowed us two weeks of break before returning to the front.
I'll be at home on St. Valentine's Day. I wanted to be a surprise, but I want that you come to meet me at the station with the turquoise dress, that both ignites my desire.
I want to see you, I want to be around you, as I was starting to forget the love in the trenches.

See you soon
